May completed her Bachelor of Dental Science (Hons) from The University of Western Australia (UWA) in 2011. Upon graduation, she worked in private practice and was also invited to teach both the undergraduate and DMD students as a Clinical Tutor at the Oral Health Centre of Western Australia (OHCWA). She is a Fellow of the Royal College of Dental Surgeons (RACDS) and completed a three-year Doctor of Clinical Dentistry in Dento-Maxillofacial Radiology at The University of Queensland in 2021.
May holds the position of Senior Lecturer at the UWA Dental School and has also been invited to lecture at The University of Sydney. She is a member of the Australian Academy of Dento-Maxillofacial Radiology (AADMFR). She has published in peer-reviewed journals and is also a co-author of the ADA’s Practical Guide to Dental Radiology (2019).
